Agilent Technologies Updates Analysts and Media On Its Semiconductor Business

SAN JOSE, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oct. 12, 2000--Agilent Technologies Inc. (NYSE:A) is hosting more than 75 security analysts, industry analysts and members of the media today at a meeting in San Jose, Calif.

The focus of today's meeting is Agilent's semiconductor business, which is primarily targeted at the explosive communications market. Senior Agilent executives, including Bill Sullivan, senior vice president and general manager of the Semiconductor Products Group; Bob Walker, executive vice president and chief financial officer; and four general managers are discussing recent strong financial performance, new products, and business direction for the semiconductor portion of Agilent's networking/computing, mobile/wireless, and imaging businesses.

Presentations from the event are now available on the Agilent investor relations Web site at investor.agilent.com. The presentations include the following information on fiscal 2000's third quarter (ended July 31, 2000) and fiscal 2000 year-to-date (Q1 through Q3): order and revenue totals and growth rates in five markets that the semiconductor business addresses -- networking/computing, fiber optics, mobile/wireless, imaging and discrete optoelectronics.
