But surely Gary you must be aware of what's happening to memory and processing capability in the past decade? Memory/processing will/is a commodity and ramping up rapidly even in the smallest devices/appliances. THAT is not the problem. Adoption & application are the main obstacle for NT's routing code to permeate the hardware market and as the article correctly pointed out, this is a long-term strategy from NT. I don't they have any illusion about that but in the long-term, it is a very smart move for NT as the growth market will be in portable device/appliances.
