As I understand it, Kaliico. . IMAX steered lower. From a subjective view. . .in addition to IMAX theatres, they make movies and have hits and misses like any movie company. Recently Gaylord Entertainment [GET] made a movie with IMAX in a last ditch effort to breathe some life back into their comatose condition. . .it is about a boy who travels through time landing at various key points which tell the history of country music. It features a plethora of cameo appearances by country music stars. I don't know. I live in Nashville, and appreciate the music, but that sounds like a bomb of a movie to me. . . .certainly nothing like "The Dream Is Alive" or "Everest", which both made IMAX some serious money.

Also, you must consider that ALL theatres are doing poorly. Home Theatre is destroying the Movie Theatre Experience. So with fewer customers in traditional theatres. . .it makes sense that there is likewise fewer customers in IMAX theatres.

IMAX used to have competition with Showscan. . .but it dropped to the pennies before going out altogether.

Is 70% enough? Is it too much? I don't know. But this is hardly a technology on its way up.

Hope that helps,
