Unisys Q3 profits tumble; 1,500 jobs to go New York--Oct. 12--Computer hardware and services company Unisys Corp. (UIS) said that third-quarter earnings fell 66% and announced that it is cutting 1,500 jobs. The Blue Bell, Pa.-based company reported earnings of $42.9 million, or 14 cents a share, a decrease from $138.4 million, or 43 cents, for the third quarter last year. Hasbro warns on Q3 earnings as children spurn Pokemon toys New York--Oct. 12--Hasbro Inc. (HAS), the United States' second-largest toy maker, said it will cut 500 jobs and report lower-than-expected third-quarter earnings because of weak demand for Pokemon toys and Star Wars products. The company warned that earnings would be between 6 cents and 10 cents a share, far below the Wall Street consensus estimate of 32 cents a share.
