I have been researching contracts in the Telecom industry for the last coupla weeks on a work related issue. Yes, you are correct, there are several that I remember that exchange stock for other physical assets.

For those of you new to the game, if you go to www.freeedgar.com and look usually at the S1 filings of the company you are interested in, you can see some/all of the transactions that involve stock.

It is a great method to see who is going to benefit / tank in an upturn / downturn.

(I know that MFNX has a coupla stock deals floating out there, but there isn't much left to short, if you were so inclined.)
