Ashutosh Roy, eGain's co-founder, Chairman and CEO, has spent 12 years in various technical management and entrepreneurial positions developing, marketing and selling software and Internet services. He was the co-founder and Chairman of WhoWhere? Inc., a leading Internet services company acquired by Lycos in 1998. Prior to that, Ashu spent four years at Digital Equipment Corp. where he was involved in the development of system software products for the DEC Alpha platform. He also worked as a product manager in the Interactive TV group at Microsoft Corporation.
Ashu also co-founded Parsec Technologies Pvt. Ltd., an international call center company based in India. He shares patents in the field of high performance CAD-VLSI design. He obtained his BS and MS degrees in computer science from the Indian Institute of Technology, New Delhi and Johns Hopkins University, respectively. He also holds an MBA from Stanford University.
