"As was the case last quarter, non-Nortel communications revenue again fueled our overall strong performance, growing in excess of 70%, seven zero percent sequentially and in excess of 250% from the same quarter a year ago. This strength was spread across all speed grade and all product areas. The list of customers to which we shipped in excess of 1 million dollars in revenue this quarter totaled 14 further increasing our diversification. Customers among these 14 who grew at a rate in excess of the overall 70% sequential included Alcatel, Cisco, Hitachi, JDS Uniphase, Juniper, Lucent, Sycamore, Tellabs, and Tellium. You can see from this list that our rapid growth is very broad based."

"Nortel was again our single largest customer at 20% of total revenue in the September quarter....Our relationship with Nortel remains strong. They continue to be our largest customer in terms of design wins which we expect will result in strong future revenue. With our largest customer now representing only a 20% revenue concentration, AMCC continues to successfully diversify its revenue base while maintaining a very high growth rate."

"Our communications product book-to-bill was a record 1.50. Our OC-192 bookings were $45 million for the quarter driving the book-to-bill for 10 gigabit products to 3.0. Framer layer bookings continued their strong ramp totaling $34 million or 53% sequential growth which represented a book-to-bill above 2.50. We also continued to see diversification among tier one customers in the booking numbers as 17 customers booked in excess of $1 million this quarter."
