Judy, I read Kevin's post 11702. Conclusion: CLUELESS and INCOMPETENT! Clueless because he seems totally unaware of the cyclical downturn AMAT just came through and keeps citing previous year comparisons instead of the more relevant sequential quarterly comparisons. Incompetent because he cites decreases in cash and cash equivalents and seems not to understand (or notice) that short-term investments (the next line in the balance sheet) are where the decreases went and are essentially the same as cash. I could go on, but Kevin might be a nice guy and I don't want to hit him when he is down. I apologize to Kevin if anyone thinks I am calling him names (Clueless and Incompetent). These adjectives should be applied to the contents of the posts and they are used to emphasize my disagreement with those contents. Cary
