Dow Jones MPTV News: MPTV Buys Remaining 51% Stake In Las Vegas Venture Thursday, October 12, 2000 12:26 PM NEWPORT BEACH, Calif. (Dow Jones)--MPTV Inc. (MPTV, news, msgs) signed an agreement to acquire All Star Resorts' 51% interest in Lake Trop LLC, giving MPTV complete ownership of the company. Financial terms weren't disclosed. An MPTV spokeswoman said All Star Resorts and MPTV unit Continental Resort Services formed Lake Trop LLC in June 1999 to develop the Lake Tropicana Timeshare Resort & Towers property in Las Vegas. In a press release Thursday, MPTV said the acquisition allows it to develop its proposed Lake Tropicana project. MPTV plans to develop the 7.34-acre Lake Tropicana property into two 10-story towers with 310 units. MPTV and its units provide timeshare resort timeshare, resort management and vacation television entertainment and advertising.
