re: N225 in 1990: i have that chart in front of me...it lasted ONE day. after that the market broke through,and then it rallied back to slightly above the break-out point in a very spirited two day rally...it must have looked like a false downside break-out to everybody...but from there it kept tanking...

in any case, we're close to the point where the Nikkei managed a good sized very short term rally before proceeding on its downward path.

note however that we're not following the Nikkei to the letter...we're merely in a broadly similar formation.
