October 12, 2000 X Cal/Placer Sleeper Work & Exclusivity Extended The delivery date for the Sleeper Gold Project data discs to both X-Cal Resources Ltd. and Placer Dome has been rescheduled to October 16 from October 10 to facilitate completion of the current work. The time limited exclusivity granted to Placer by X-Cal will be altered by the corresponding number of days to October 26. The exclusivity can be extended by Placer to November 15, 2000 by making payments to X-Cal totaling US$100,000. The exclusivity gives Placer a form of head start over other mining companies who may wish to participate in the Sleeper Gold Project with X-Cal. (See news release dated Sept. 11/2000) The 30 square mile gold property is located in Humboldt County, Nevada. The work being completed is expected to result in the first 3D model of the geology and structure of the Sleeper mine site area and also bring the property wide data into a presentation format. X-Cal has uninhibited ability to utilize the product of the work both during and after the period of exclusivity. Note: X-Cal Resources Ltd. can be referenced through the Standard & Poors Directory.
