Inforte Corp. Reports Third Quarter 2000 Results Revenue of $17.8 Million, Up 108%; Earnings per Share of $0.15, Up 150%
CHICAGO, Oct. 12 /PRNewswire/ -- Inforte Corp. (Nasdaq: INFT - news), a leading eBusiness integrator, today announced revenue and earnings growth for the September 30, 2000 quarter. Revenue for the September quarter was $17.8 million, up 108% from $8.6 million in September 1999 quarter. Operating income grew 111% to $2.3 million in the September quarter, up from $1.1 million in the September 1999 quarter. Earnings per share were $0.15 per diluted share, up 150% compared to $0.06 per pro forma diluted share in the September 1999 quarter.
Profitability and cash flow were strong in the September 2000 quarter with a 55.5% gross margin, a 14.7% EBITDA (earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization) margin, a 12.7% operating margin, days sales outstanding of 3, and $3.1 million in cash flow from operations. Total cash and investments increased to $79.8 million at September 30, 2000 from $76.4 million at June 30, 2000. Inforte added 30 net employees during the September 2000 quarter, 27 of which were billable consultants. As of September 30, 2000, employees totaled 438 of which 348 were billable. |
