Hmmm. Off the top of my head, I have the following quote sent to me by an architect on the Willamette project. I don't have anything more official than this, but it's enough for me.

"Claims that the Willamette processor was not operating at a real 1.5 GHz are false. The processor was being operated at an MCLK (Medium Clock) rate of 1.5 GHz. Since the ALUs operate at FCLK (Fast Clock = 2 X MCLK) they were running at 3.0 GHz. Both of these facts were stated multiple times at the IDF presentations."
