The leaked benchmark results show a Pentium 4 running at 1.4GHz has an integer core running at 700 Athlon MHz. Note these were not production Pentium 4s. While it is true that many consumers are happy to compare MHz figures, I think that a person about to spend several thousand dollars will first look closely at benchmark results. I know I will.
