I agree with you Sam. I think interest rate cuts are the next order of business. I think oil is the (almost) phony inflation issue that people are hanging their hats on to justify a market decline that was going to happen anyway. Energy has (because of other price level changes) perhaps 1/3 the economic impact that it had when it was $40 nearly twenty years ago. It is really more like a tax increase now than a source of a huge jump in the inflation numbers.
