BA - ouch! yes to the wave...however, remember that it sometimes happens in such a way that 3 is a BK wave, followed by a short, very sharp 4 and then the 5.

the N225 in '90 had a more orderly collapse, pretty similar to what we're seeing now, so it may be the 'normal' procedure (Nikkei's 4 of 3 was a pennant like triangular a-b-c).

btw, i just noticed, the 5 day rally was part of w 4...the rally back to the breaking point of the previous low was only a 2 day affair, like you said...i was looking at a small print bar chart...
