That is the kind of stability the US wants to impose. People here couldn't care less about the human tragedies this causes. Even when it is Americans. The president will decry a "cowardly act of terror", but the policy won't change. US policy for middle east is made in New York in the same sense that policy towards Cuba is made in Miami.
