Chuck - RE: "I think this may have to do with the delayed P4 ramp than anything else."

Interesting that AMD felt it needed to reduce prices this much against Willy. Of course, the low prices could be a result of great binsplits at Dresden. The low prices will steal some sales from Intel. A 1.1GHz Athlon system costs $90 less than a 1GHz PIII system at Gateway.

I bet Micron, Tiny, and Vobis are glad they decided to use AMD!

"I think we will not see 1.33 until mid-Novemeber or even late-November. So, there will be a month or so when AMD will not have any part over $500."

You think when AMD releases 1.33GHz they won't reduce prices on everything else and keep the 1.33 at less than $500? (I assume you're talking about Thunderbird and not Mustang.)
