Bill. Gateway came in all right today. And Intel's CEO was on the tube yesterday and said that this tech sell off has been way overdone. I think he mentioned something about decent earnings and a cpl of analysts going bananas. Not his exact words. I did not know that Frank exited the market last spring. If he did, in hindsight, I should have joined him. Lost a nice chunk of my paper profits. I think the market would have turned around on Thursday if it had not been for the Middle East. Oil prices are starting to hurt. Maybe we will do something about our dependency to foreign oil. Yes. Thanks Alan. I had mentioned all along, while he raised interest rates: Don't fix it if it ain't broke. Well, it's broke right now. So, now he can fix it. A little interest rate cut would help. He kept talking about productivity and how wonderful the internet is working. Productivity is still there for the moment but he put a stop to the grow of the internet. Tough for those start up cos. to get new financing. And financial institutions are feeling the pinch from underwriting. Hopefully it will all work out. Middle East, Oil, interest rates, some kind of landing and the employment numbers. If things slow down too much, those guys will get their wish. More unemployment. Hm. Sure hope we will not need the surplus for outside things. Read the article you sent. Umm, umm. Sheesh. I did not realize it was getting that late. I read an article about Friday the 13th. Maybe I think of today as Sat. Sonny
