Not bashing or defending Detroit. Just giving my opinion. The best corporate management figures out what will delight their customers. In the oil/gasoline/transportation area that clearly demands a new propellant that doesn't destroy the ozone layer, doesn't leave the world paying ransom to a few geographic harvesting countries and doesn't require expensive parts and repairs (because it has few moving parts) just to keep the vehicle running.
