No, that's not what I'm saying.

Where did I say that it didn't matter? Nowhere.

As I have repeatedly said on this and other boards, most of the modern day Nifty 50 were priced for better than perfection back in March, and there was no logical reason to hold them then. IMO, CSCO will not exceed its high for at least 5 years, and that's even if they execute well.

But there are also plenty of stocks that will perform fine, just like there were stocks that performed even in the 30's.
