ZENON Announces New Board Appointment

OAKVILLE, ONTARIO--ZENON Environmental Inc. (TSE: ZEN, ZEN.A) is pleased to announce its new Board of Directors; joining ZENON's Board is The Honourable Maurice F. Strong, P.C., C.C., LLD.
As a well-known businessman, entrepreneur, diplomat and ardent environmentalist, Mr. Strong brings a lifetime of business and political acumen to ZENON's Board. With his hand on the pulse of the global environment, Mr. Strong will also act as ZENON's Environmental Advisor.
On the international front, Mr. Strong's illustrious career includes his current appointment as Under-Secretary General and Senior Advisor to the Secretary General of the United Nations; Senior Advisor to the President of The World Bank; Chairman of Earth Council; Director, World Economic Forum and member of the World Water Commission.
In Canada, he was this year's recipient of the Companion of the Order of Canada. Mr. Strong has impacted Canadian business as the Chairman and CEO of Ontario Hydro and earlier in his career as the CEO of Power Corporation of Canada (one of Canada's leading investment corporations).
Among his numerous associations, Mr. Strong is internationally recognized for his leadership of the United Nations Conference on Environment and Development in 1992 (the Earth Summit). Heads of state assembled in Rio de Janeiro to begin the process of planning for and acting on the many important environmental and conservation issues affecting our planet.
