As a matter of fact, yes. I have spoken with 4 or 5 this last week, one new and 3 follow-ups. The gist is as follows: On marketing 'there is no marketing' We need a simpler roaming rate. It should be one universal rate. We need to offer a bundled plan, one monthly rate, surcharge for sat calls. In other words, make it simple! We need to be able to sell gsm phones in US. One distributor said he could sell 20 or 30 but Telit told him they would only let him have them blocks of 100 or more so the distributor said no way. Hell of a way to run a railroad isn't it! Hey, I got customers who want to buy and use your system but you won't supply me with the product! This is something G* has to fix NOW. I have passed all these and more comments on to both gusa and ir and am told they are aware of and seriously correcting these issues. No disagreement, just working through the complex maize of the sp relationship. I am sensing an awareness and an urgency at both gusa and G* that I didn't sense last spring and that is good. Last spring, everyone seemed comfortable and smug saying "relax, we know what we are doing." Now I am hearing, "you are right and we are agressively working on it." That is a big improvement in my book. Can they pull it off? Re-read Gregg Powers' posts. He descibed this condition and implied that when the elephant got headed the right way, look out. I think they are getting the elephant's attention.
