'Hi-Time' Has Hit the Big Time Cutting Long Distance Costs By Up to 8 Cents Per Minute

The Launch of BentleyTel's 'Hi Time' VoIP Long Distance Calling Product Has Exceeded the Planned Trial Rate by More Than 300%

NEWPORT BEACH, Calif., Oct. 13 /PRNewswire/ -- Global TeleMedia International, Inc. (OTC Bulletin Board: GTMI); Within the first nine business days of BentleyTel.com's launch of their VoIP Network in Australia, 14 ISPs representing a combined membership base in excess of 30,000 users have taken up the trial offer. This represents 100% of the companies who have been offered the product in the past 9 days. There has also been considerable interest from other Internet based companies, who wish to sell BentleyTel's "Hi time"(TM) phone-to-phone product online as a value added service to their core business. octa4.net.au

BentleyTel costs are up to 8 cents per minute cheaper than other national carriers. Based on the success of the trial, BentleyTel has decided to increase available bandwidth by 500% Between Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane, an area that represents almost 80% of the long distance call traffic in Australia. This will allow for the expected increase in calling traffic in the pre and post Christmas holiday period. With interest in the product being extremely high, we are currently negotiating with a number of call centers to offer bulk rates for volume calls, both long distance and local.

BentleyTel has an achievement target of 100,000 individual clients and businesses by the years end. Statistics show that approximately 7 million adults generate 17.8 billion internal long distance minutes at an average of 23-28 cents per minute, or an average of $600 per year plus, $1,570 in local calls, therefore a client base of only 100,000 may generate as much as $217,000,000 in revenue over the next year. Local calls generate as much as $11 Billion annually and much of that is attributed to businesses who will be our major focus for bundled services of ISP / VPN and VoIP.

VP Business Development, David Bentley, said, "BentleyTel is leading the charge in discount long distance calling in Australia. We don't see the high levels of pricing competition familiar to users in the US. We are also close to signing agreements with several major international Telco's to ensure that our customers have access to seamless local, national and international dial up at the most competitive rates. We are targeting our "Hi Time" services to small to medium sized businesses. While they represent 55% of Australia's GDP, they are not offered effective discounted calling plans by the big Telco's, despite collectively spending hundreds of millions of dollars on long distance."

BentleyTel will soon launch both "virtual" and conventional phone cards. With Standard phone cards costing an average of 24 cents per minute, BentleyTel Virtual phone cards have multiple uses in highly competitive direct sales and promotional marketplace. A number of wholesalers who regularly sell in excess of $100,000 in phone-cards per month have shown interest in the BentleyTel card.
