Street, I sure can't argue the logic of international oversight of our elections. It seems that with each congress our gov't becomes more and more dictatorial. Still, I'd resent the hell out of any international body coming in and meddling with our internal affairs. Or trying to dictate our energy policy. Or trying to get us to give up our guns. Or attempting to tell us that parts of our territory are "international treasures." Or insisting that some of our historical structures are "Heritage Sites." Or even hinting that maybe we should bear more of the cost of international government, and suggesting that our pollution exceeds some externally devised standard. No sir, I wouldn't like it at all. jim
