...but we had a lenghty discussion on write speed in August.

Uncompressed TIFF's will always be problematic.

I don't think we disagree that there still is progress that the camera
and card manufacturers need to make.
It is just that I think you are
overstating the case and using a relatively extreme example.

The second time you presented it wasn't any less extreme than the first.

BTW, SanDisk got tagged for a speed comparison chart a while back, so I am not terribly optimistic that they will be drawing any attention to this matter, especially as it relates to a certain flash card competitor.
