Eric
I don't have the tech expertise that you and the other Eric obviously do. On the other hand I have a vested interest in PMCS, having been long since 97 (and having endured several gut wrenching downturns without selling).

That said, PMCS indicated they continue to enjoy numerous design wins. I believe they indicated something on the order of approximately 2000 this year. (Hope that number is not out to lunch). Presuming this is the case, I would have to believe that a % of these wins are in newer IP/optical based technologies. Wouldn't this be a mitigating factor against possible ATM/SONET slowdowns going forward? I guess that I'm disagreeing with the other Eric's thesis that PMCS' product portfolio is more historically effective than future oriented(please excuse me if this in an incorrect interpretation). Am I out to lunch here? Surely, PMCS' has proven to be capable of keeping up with the evolving WAN market?

Note: Not trying to be argumentative, trying to understand why someone who is obviously much better read on this subject is significantly less bullish than I am. Thanks for any comments/feedback.
