Now, on a more positive note. I am wondering if this is the mirror image of March. In other words, will this bottom end up taking the form of a W. The initial March sell-off from the top was short and sharp, followed by a rally that breached 5000 again before the final correction. Will we see something similar here. Is the long psychology of March going to be reflected by the short psychology in October. I am thinking it is possible that we will get up around 3500 or so on more good earnings ,a Fibonacci retracement, and then we will have our typical late-earnings season yawn and will retest at least 3150. Any thoughts? I will be taking my own tax advice and cutting loose some losses around 3500 or so, hoping to put that cash back into a new fresh crop of bargains. W-shaped double-bottoms seem much more common to me than v-shaped recoveries.
