Hi Art (thought you only hung out on the Qualcomm thread :-), please forgive a VERY naive question for you SNDK pros, but I'm a wee bit confused. What are my options for getting pictures 'developed' from a digital camera? Am I correct to assume that the data stored on the CF memory card may be a) hooked up to the PC for editing and then printed out on one's very own handy dandy color printer, or b) uploaded to various web sites that specialize in making prints which are then mailed back to the picture taker, or c) the CF chip is taken to the friendly neighborhood photo shop for processing, or d) ??????????
I've been following SNDK for some time, but was/am hung up on 'ease of use'. The issue was highlighted recently when a technophobic friend asked me for advice on buying a camera. His two rules were "point and shoot" and "simpler is better". I suggested he explore digital but he said that without a computer a digital camera is a "non starter".
Do you folks agree? If he could pop down to the local photo shop to get his pictures developed, he's convinced that operating a digital is as easy as the traditional camera and would probably give it a go. Is that an option?
Seems to me that there are more folks like him than we all might suspect, so the question might have investment merit as well. In any event, I again apologize for lowering the thread IQ level. Thanks in advance. mike doyle
