Hey, COOL!

Same old gang, on the same old thread...
except we have brand new "ticker."

That SI Bob is just amazing. I don't know how he does it. He's omnipresent, lurching everywhere...and so incredibly quick. They really should give that guy a huge raise, or perhaps a just few extra INSP stock options...at these prices. If this thread is a sign, it seems to me that the "merger" is going extremely smoothly so far. We never lost a beat.<g> And heck, our "new" stock went up over a buck and a half today. That sure beats the heck out of yesterday.

Let me see if I got this straight:
(1.82 times (# of old GNET shares owned)
times $1.56 (share-today's gain) equals................
Oh, to heck with it. Way beyond my pay scale. I'll let my accountant figure it all out in 5 to 10 years, or so. :)

And levy, I know how must you resist praise, but your post (#reply-14574097) was a true GNET classic. The ironic thing is (which I never shared with anybody), at the INSP meeting yesterday I did "second the motion" for the vote on the merger. Also, regarding the DIGEO/CHTR/INSP broadband roll-out. I did ask that question of Arun yesterday. I can't remember is exact answer, but I believe it was something like..."can't comment now, but we'll let you know." He didn't say the word "soon," which I took to be an extremely good sign. <g> And levy, it just blows my mind the stuff you (and your "crack" research team) are able to dig up. Keep up the great work. You're becoming a credit to your species. <ggg>

I'll try to drop in from time to time, to see what mischief you guys are up...but I do have to spend most of my waking hours figuring out ways to "eat, sleep, and be merry," until my numerous "long" stock positions make me filthy rich. And then I can finally retire, and spend much more time posting on SI.

The times there are-a-changin.....yet again.

Roger :)

PS. Tonight only happens every 17 years, I believe. A full moon, on Friday the 13th. It's always been an extremely lucky day for me. Today was not exception, as my entire portfolio was green. Therefore (as is my custom), I plan to go out and howl at the moon later tonight. It always seems to perk up the neighborhood, and (although I can't quite make out their responses) I believe they all use to be GNET shareholders, as they always yell back in unison, Go2......(something or other).
