milo:

The only explanation for AMD's relative performance can be, as has been pointed out, huge unloading by one or several funds...Hopefully, if so, it has now run its course and AMD can once again ascend to a level that, relative to the tech sector, makes some sense...If we go back 3 months to Q2's report and AMD's $45 price, and project 6 months from that point, one would have thought that record rev's and earnings 3 months out might buoy the price, at least based upon the theory of perfect market discounting...AMD's Q3 with its 7 million processors, 3.6 million of which were K7's looks outstanding to me and within guidance tolerances...Looking ahead, Q4 looks like record revenues and earnings once again...A fickle marketplace!!!
