"Value Line Special Situations": "Value Line Special Situations" has to be the worst financial publication that I have ever encountered! And to think that I paid for this product. The picks simply do not make sense, and the stock's performance has been miserable. The publication tries to pick small cap stocks that have stumbled for one reason or another. (The publication basically recommends small cap stocks -- in a similar situation like a big-cap Lucent/Xerox -- that have deteriorating balance sheets, poor product lines, poor management teams, declining profit margins, and lacking leadership positions -- not factors that wealth creation is based upon.) If anyone ever has a chance to review the publication (monthly), they will be amazed at the quality (lack of!). Definately not a publication that I would expect from Value Line.
