If the access platform of choice is not a PC then MSFT is a net loser... that is the point. Users don't have to know Linux to use a Linux based appliance.... not anymore than you need to know VxWorks. What do you think runs your cable STB today??? Probably VxWorks. Intel's NA's are Linux based. Migration away from PC's is a migration away from MSFT OS's.
