>Besides alexa's prefatory 'Apricots' (which even she does not comprehend) and some of the recent babblings of Terry, you have no problem involving copyright. No problem, that is, beyond that of the average Head Start Class's seeking protection for its undisciplined intestinal blubberings. Terry, poor, distorted, snot-snorting, psychopath, has a certain valor that, begrudgingly, has got to be acknowledged. gsm< George, this is not a simplistic posting nor does it express childlike wonder with the world or the wildness that joyful children exhibit. This is cruel, adult type cruel with a vicious edge that I think many on this thread find as incomprehensible as I do. We don't want to limit your creative energies gsm, but on this thread we would like you to confine your creative energies to your own poems OR constructive comments about the poetry of others. The above is a slam, everybody read it that way. Now whether that was what you intended, no one can say but you. You can attack published poets (not contributing on this thread) as harshly as you like and you may find people who will join your argument. But please, please, keep your harsh judgments of others mental capabilities and/or frailties, and your literary criticism to yourself.
People read your posts as malevolent, because they lend themselves to that interpretation. I am not trying to control you or matriarchally squash your creativity or defend anyone (because I sense the people here are pretty comfortable with themselves and don't need my help) or drive you away, all I am saying is that this is a place to express yourself, with your poetry, your favorite poets, your comments about a piece of poetry you like NOT a place to critique others or their poetry. Please don't read this as hostile because it really isn't, really, really, really. |
