Hi ad well, maybe I am a hardened sucker <vbg>. CDO is not my worst folly, and I still have some faith in her. What did me in is not entirely CDO problem. I ve margined heavily starting in mid September, so this is self preservation time. Also, had I not overweighed in CDO to begin with, I could ve held on to everything in CDO. Finally, PRISM has indeed changed the equation. Again, one could ve blamed CDO for not being fore coming, but then, looking at the performance of Covad in the last 6 months, the writing is on the wall. So, maybe my own pride has to shoulder some of the blame
Ultimately, while you prefer to stick to stock commentaries, and I respect that, my personal attitude is the money is just one of the factors in life. I mean, I am lucky to be in this land of opportunity and enjoy relative peace. Look at the great turmoil in the middle east, or the relatives who loved ones killed on the USS Colt.
Ahem, back to the stock market. Well, lately, I ve been betting against the dealers and lost! I ve been adding ADCT, AMTL, CPQ etc etc. I feel quite comfortable with these three, despite I am in deep red. I ve continued to hold a bunch of fallen angels. Some days, I simply swapped one stock for another. For instance, 3 days ago, I dumped a position in TXN for ADI b/c the latter has a greater appreciation potentials. I could be wrong, but I would not ve done it if I had allowed my discomfort to get in my way
