I agree that China's threat to the US is relatively minimal however I think it is growing and even the minimal threat is one that I think we should be able to neutralize.

A nuclear missile would be the last weapon any terrorist would choose, simply because within minutes of launch, the entire world knows exactly where it came from...While an individual terrorist might be perfectly willing to blow himself up, it is unimaginable that any state would allow their territory to be used as a base for a terrorist missile attack.

If an unstable country has nuclear weapons but cannot fully secure them against terrorists or rouge elements then it might not matter if the government really wants the nuclear attack. In fact I can imagine situations where the terrorist wants full scale retaliation on the country he launched from.

I'll be taking the kids out sailing in a few minutes (it's morning here), so I'll be off SI today. Priorities.
