Michael, I agree that they're a monopolist. I don't see that the govt proposal damages MSFT's monopoly position that greatly however. The proposal doesn't make the OS compete against itself which would've been the most direct blow to MSFT's monopoly in OS.

From a market dynamic viewpoint do you see OS as mortally wounded without the MS family of apps held hostage to the platform? The logical conclusion in OS seems to still lead to a natural monopoly and there's alot of companies with alot invested in the success of Windows and NT. In other words, does an independent apps division still not find it in its best interest to develop primarily to support the Windows OS? (Internet net risk not withstanding).
