Internet Cable Corporation Partners With SilCom Technology For Wireless Network Installation.

WEST CHESTER, Pa., Sept. 18 /PRNewswire/ --

Internet Cable Corporation (OTC Bulletin Board: ICBL), a provider of broadband technology solutions, cable infrastructure services, software products, and business-to-business wireless integration solutions today announced that it has partnered with SilCom Technology, a privately owned subsidiary of Ultima Networks PLC (London: UTN.L), on the installation of a wireless, laser communications network for SimStar, a leading provider of Internet solutions for healthcare companies.

The joint project brings together Internet Cable's proven wireless network integration and outsourcing services with SilCom's Freespace(TM) laser link family of reliable building-to-building wireless connectivity products.

The project results in a wireless wide area network (WAN) that integrates two of SimStar's office locations in Princeton, New Jersey via laser technology. The wireless WAN provides 100 megabit bandwidth speeds between locations, enabling better performance of WAN-based business applications, and lowering telecommunications and related infrastructure costs.

Internet Cable's wireless integration professionals implemented and tested the SilCom product set at the customer site and will provide ongoing maintenance as required. The network connectivity for the project is being provided by SilCom's FreespaceTurbo(TM) product set. FreespaceTurbo provides wire speed connections for all network protocols.

Stated Craig Lerman, president of Internet Cable's wireless division, "We are very pleased to work with SilCom on this wireless installation. This joint project for SimStar demonstrates how wireless technology can be deployed quickly and cost effectively, resulting in a reliable, high performance installation within a campus environment."

Eric Brown, Director of Management Information Systems, SimStar, commented, "In evaluating the deployment of wireless technology, it was critical for SimStar to utilize proven technology and expert integration assistance. That is why we chose the reliability of SilCom's wireless solution to link our buildings, while leveraging the expertise of Internet Cable's wireless division for turnkey installation and support.

"The wireless WAN provides a high-speed, cost effective solution that allows us to expand our facilities and better leverage our business application infrastructure. In this situation we relied on a wireless solution to provide a dedicated high-speed connection where a switched solution or in- ground fiber was not practical or economical. When you combine the performance advantages and cost savings, wireless technology offers outstanding payback for our company," added Brown.
