you don't get it. arithmetic #1. the surplus is based on assumptions that we retain the preent tax levels not lower them when you lower them, over time the surplus goes away. and we cannot aford social programs without borrowing more. more and more debt. back the the Bush Sr. era recessionary economy where they were stuck trying to pay off the Reagan area over-expenditures, lowered taxes, arms race and S+L debacle (while cutting important social programs to the bone and throwing away the environment).

make no mistake, the national debt is the tax-payers debt. in a sense the government doesn't even exist. it's we the people who pay for the government and take on its debts. don't you get it? the tax cut is just charging a half trillion or so on the national credit card. it erases the surplus. it's like getting a "free credit card" offer in the mail, low interest rate, all you can borrow and you send for it and use it even though you've already got five credit cards maxed out. it's fiscally way too liberal and not at all conservative. in fact it's reckless. and the burden falls mostly on the backs of those who cannot afford it.

and Bush's numbers are all based on very optimistic PARTISAN estimates. Gore bases his on non-partisan estimates. Gore is optimistic. Bush is dreaming. and planing to rip off the surplus and put half of it into the hands of the upper class. that's the plan folks. like it or not. please vote against Bush. please. Bush will not help anyone except his cronies. electing him is throwing common sense out the window. don't fix what ain't broken ad don't believe Bush when he says he cares about or trusts you. and if you thjink Bush and Company have any desire to lower oil prices, think again. the higher they are the more power Texas oilmen have. over all our lives.
