Everyone seems to be assuming that IoMega will invariably post positive earnings in July. Is there any evidence of that? I see falling ZIP drive prices and fewer units stocked at my local CompUSA. I have yet to see any machine on display with a ZIP preinstalled. And I have yet to see any store stocking large quantities of Jaz drives. IOMG's SEC filings are full of warnings regarding parts shortages and the difficulties of a small company competing in a business with very small profit margins.

Given these factors and the obvious need for IOMG to float a secondary offering at 35 I'm not certain they are going to post profits next quarter. If they don't, it is probably heading back to the single digits. I'm long at 35 and getting progressively more depressed with the recent price decline. Does the Street know something we don't about what IOMG is going to announce in July? It sure is starting to look that way...
