Jim, Kumar said in the 2q00 CC that Intel has or would have a surplus, a price war would ensue that AMD would lose. But what happened. By reacting in July and Aug. AMD peempted Intel. AMD even with loss of Legarity income, even with slowdown in PC market, even with delay in chipsets, even with loss of considerable market share in mobile; by outhustling and outmanuvering Intel, AMD not only gained market share, amd increased volume in both PC's and flash, and increased revenue; something its major competitors weren't able to do. Most of AMD's problems are temporary,(mobile solutions) due to others, (integrated chipsets). In the end, if one had to chose between Intels problems and AMD's I would take AMD's current position any day. While a lot of people here are complaining about certain issues, they are totally ignoring AMD's strong points, which if you look at the numbers, outweigh the bad.
