Ibexx, do you know if the Canadian tax code covers all cap gains (both on Canadian companies and outside?). TIA

By the way, that just barely brings them to parity with US tax code. In the US we also have now a "Super Capital Gain" treatment that was aimed at "directing" funds into small and start up companies. Namely, the tax rate is only 10% if the company in which you invest had assets of less than $50 MM (at the time of investment) and you held the position for 5 years.
