Here's a tasty Pumpkin Bread.

2 cups all purpose flour
1 cup packed brown sugar
1 tablespoon baking powder
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
1/4 teaspoon baking soda
1/8 teaspoon ground ginger or ground cloves
1 cup canned pumpkin
1/2 cup milk
2 eggs
1/3 cup shortening
1/2 cup chopped walnuts
1/2 cup raisins

In a large bowl, combine 1 cup of the flour, and all the other dry ingredients. Add to it the pumpkin, milk, eggs and shortening.
Beat until blended, then add the remaining flour, beat well again. Stir in nuts and raisins. Pour batter into a greased loaf pan.
Bake in a 350 degree oven for 60 to 65 minutes. Cool for 10 minutes. Tastes best when served the following day.
