TSIG, you've found the Bear and Bull of the markets. . . the ying and yang. . . the Astaire and Rogers. This board sold completely out of techs April 15, 1999 and bought them back late in October. . . .then sold off all techs on March 7, 2000 and have been positioning back in over the past few weeks. . . while setting our newest long-term portfolio on October 13th, 2000.

It has been a fundamental of our long-term investing strategy. . . though even this is not guaranteed. . . and each spring I question whether the big money has indeed moved to the short side.

This past year, I watched carefully for signs of a fake out. . .especially with all the upside down trading in 2000. . .thinking that perhaps we could also get a backwards summer. . . where the March selloff would lead to late April and early May buying. . .thus faking everyone out. However, the arrogance of the Fat Cat Po' Boys never ceases to amaze me. They walked away like clockwork, knowing full well that they will begin to once again benefit the moment they return in October.

Wouldn't you love to know who "they" are?
