Hello all....Italy has some great internet access in places for about $5-7 per hour but I've not had much time to read through all the posts I've missed just yet.

IMO, the MSFT .NET strategy is an attempt to re-create that "one-vendor fits all" centralized computing environment they so strongly waged war against. The .NET strategy is a MSFT-centric solution (from desktop to server to services).

I wouldn't mind getting into this some more when I get back.
