There's one interesting parallel to what Gates is doing and what some other entrepreneurs are doing on the streets of America.

Give away the product to corner the market and make customers for life.

Oh, those entrepreneurs...there are drug dealers. They give away drugs for free to young people, get them hooked thereby guaranteeing their future business.

As for MSFT, they rape us with the prices of their software by their monopolistic hold on the desktop market and feed us these "empowering the individual" marketing crap. I don't buy it. I don't buy that ANY company would set any agenda/strategy that did not further it's own interests first (and that includes NOVL as well folks).

Come on Fred - you are reaching for straws here (that's my opinion). By bringing in comparisions to MSFT - a rival to NOVL - you are doing what? Trying to get a rise out of Stewart Nelson? Trying to incite someone at NOVL that "hey, maybe we should call this Fred Smart"...

You can worhsip at Gates' altar all you wish but the Devil takes on all shapes and forms. You should know better than that Fred...
