Sarmad: <vbg> I am hating this market first and foremost because it is treacherous. It is so because while the lt bull market may be still in place, shorter timeframes are and have been at risk. <g> Which is to say that both shorts and longs are vulnerable. (Truism, I guess.)

My prob with the noo econ gooroos is that there is not enough acknowledgment of the risk as there is acknowledgment of the upside.

As far as your questions about my current investment strategies, it is thus:

As of 5/00, I determined that the market had changed from ST, MT and LT bull to something more complicated than that. <g> I also assessed that my strengths as an investor/trader were such that anything less that ST, MT, LT bull I would not do as well in. So I decided that investing 100% of my liquid assets in new econ stocks at that point, was shall we say, shortsighted. <g>

So after not a lot of helpful input from these threads, or financial planners or whatever those professional goo roos want to call themselves, I chose to decide that it made sense for me to allocate enough resources to live on (hopefully at least) using safer investments like mm funds and cds, and use the rest for lt gains.

Nevertheless, dealing with these st, mt, and hopefully not lt trends is not painless. <g> fwiw, Rob
