Thread & David,

Yes, I am referring to color screens. Could someone post or send a pm to me with answers to the following questions:

1) Why is there such a discrepancy between the Hewlett-Packard 548 & Compaq iPaq color screens compared to the Palm IIIC? Or for that matter, why has Palm been behind in the time frame in introducing an equally comparable color screen on any product?

--I believe the answer can not be a weight issue due to the iPaq only weighing 6.3 oz. with many features.

--My initial reaction is the reason must be a component shortage, including availability of color screens.

I am asking only to become familiar with the reasons for the product variances. I continue to search for an explanation for why there is a discrepancy between competing PDA models -- and their respective specifications.

I assume that whatever the answer is -- it can also answer the reason why the MB/MHZ is less than the competitors.

No disprespect intended for Palm products. I am only trying to understand, and I can't find any articles or links that answer these questions. Thanks for any feedback.
