I also think that Voicestream is significantly disadvantaged by not having a WAP enabled device in their lineup. Maybe their favorite vendor will surprise us and have devices in their stores for the holiday season.

I think that Voicestream's set to sell the Nokia 7190 fairly soon. It was actually supposed to come out in September, but maybe Nokia's still working on the glitches, so that it doesn't become the PR problem that it's become in Europe/Asia. Also, in addition to their prior talk about web-enabled handsets from Nokia, Voicestream also did a deal with Infospace last May for end-to-end WAP portal services (http://www.infospace.com/_1_4K7OUMJ04W231VW__info/articles/pr050900.htm), another sign that WAP's definitely on their mind.
