Theo,

The baby boomers are already starting to embrace this technology, and we have something that makes us welcome everywhere: Cash.

I see the boomers being the driving force behind the "early adopter" phase. I'm a late boomer myself and I have my Coolpix already. But I still don't see our generation reaching more than 50% adoption - there are still high numbers of us who are not PC-literate! We have the cash mainly to buy the digicams that introduce our kids to the world of digital photography. So whereas we might see something like 40% adoption amongst boomers, Gen X'er might see 60%, and echo boomers will be like 80%-90%. This will be the fat part of the curve.

IMO.
